Zermatt was born of the encounter between Patrick Jouin and Puiforcat. The company entrusted him with the creation of a steel cutlery set. A first for this designer and interior architect, who has already designed objects, furniture and restaurants all over the world. Today, he is designing an object directly related to touch and taste.
Steel combines practicality, everyday life and beauty. Patrick Jouin drew inspiration from Puiforcat's past as a cutler to design the sculptural knife, whose handle is a natural extension of the blade, and whose presence in the hand is reassuring. Then there's the fork, with its three tines, oblique eyes - a nod to Jean Puiforcat's creations - and ridge-like underlining.
