The fruit of an exceptional collaboration between the Bibliothèque nationale de France and Mobilier national, the Orria seat, designed by Patrick Jouin and developed in conjunction with ARC, then edited by Alki, equips the 160 seats in the BnF's Salle Ovale.
Orria is inspired by the space in which it is installed. The architecture of the Salle Ovale at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, with its multitude of books surrounding the reader, reflects a real relationship with study, with the pages that are turned and the precious old books that are handled. We wanted this chair to match the grandeur of this room, while being discreet in its features and genuine in its choice of materials.
