Lebeau is first and foremost the silhouette of a table designed by Patrick Jouin for Cassina in 2004. Now a veritable icon, this table has been reinvented using the Italian publisher's and the designer's favorite material, solid wood. Thus was born Lebeau Wood, in 2017, an ultimate piece of cabinetry expressing Cassina's majestic craftsmanship, playing with transparencies, taking full advantage of bent wood and deploying a complex assembly made possible by machining. Optical play, fascination for the eye and the union of traditional and contemporary know-how have all contributed to the success of this Lebeau Wood table for the interior.
Patrick Jouin wanted to work with Cassina to create a new space for comfort and living with furniture. Together, they imagined a new Lebeau, not by adapting one version, with a wood species more suited to the outdoors, but by using another equally extraordinary material that also belongs to Cassina's tradition and modernity: cast aluminum.
