The Patrick Jouin exhibition – The substance of design,
taking place at the Pompidou center, produced in tight collaboration with his
team designer, highlighting the methodology of a work by presenting projects through iconic material and visual platforms of the
studio's work, created ten years from now by Patrick Jouin.
Patrick Jouin’s choice focused on about twenty projects selected among the most representative of the diversity and eclecticism that the studio cultivates in terms of design. For each project, the entirety of the research and développement process is presented, explained. The objective is to allow the visitors to understand the richness and complexity of the conception of an industrial or artisanal object, whatever its size or function.
A personal, transversal, interpretation of design is showcased to us, resolutely polyphonic and contemporary. It notably renews the hanging and presentation of works while considering the research process, the finished product and the relation to the object all at the same time.
