With the Elipse chair, Patrick Jouin iD made its entry into the collections of the Italian fashion house Zanotta. Elipse reconciled the rationality of a functional industrial design object with the power of a radical sculptural work.
Its tubular, square-section aluminum structure gave it a practical lightness and underscored the strength and character of its apparent simplicity. In contrast, the softness and suppleness of its comfort zones - made from 30% recycled injection-molded plastic - guarantee its seating quality. The circular hole in the backrest reveals the finesse of the assemblies, while at the same time signalling ease of handling.Elipse thus met the expectations of the professional sector, while also demonstrating the elegance of its silhouette in a domestic environment.
Elipse was proposed by Zanotta from 2018 to 2022.
