On January 18, 2025, the Villejuif – Gustave Roussy station opened its doors, completing the southern extension of Line 14 of the Grand Paris Express. Designed by architect Dominique Perrault, this station features a 62-meter diameter circular structure and a depth of 51 meters, with a semi-crystalline roof that allows natural light to reach the platforms. Starting in 2026, it will be joined by the first stations of the southern section of Line 15, continuing the transformation of the network.
A user-centered approach
The working methodology of Patrick Jouin iD is entirely focused on public space users, their perception of the environment, and the calming of their senses within an ecosystem of continuous flow. The goal is to create a common thread between the different station typologies, allowing users to understand that they are part of a larger whole, much like each station of the Grand Paris Express.

Located at the heart of the Hautes-Bruyères departmental park and near the Gustave Roussy Institute, Europe's leading cancer treatment center, the station facilitates access to healthcare and supports the development of the "Campus Grand Parc" project. This project plans the creation of 3,000 housing units, innovative infrastructures, and tailored services, transforming the area into a hub of excellence in health and biotechnology.
